Bear Creek Lutheran Cemetery

Finding a Grave Site

The directory for locating a grave site is found on the backside of the Bear Creek Lutheran Church sign located near the entrance to the church.

                        Bear Creek Cemetery By-Laws

The annual business meeting shall be held on the third Monday in June.

 

Ten members shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business at an Annual or Special meeting.

 

All transfers of lots to be done by the Board of Directors.

 

All graves shall be not less than 4 ½ feet deep, unless otherwise authorized by the Board of Directors,

Markers to have a cement border not less than 6 inches. All such that are so close together that a lawn mower cannot pass between easily shall be cemented together. All work to be under the direction of the Board of Directors.[1]

 There is a limit of one marker per grave.

 There is a limit of two persons per grave.

 Cremation burial on an occupied grave may have 1(one) additional flush mounted marker not to exceed eighteen inches long by twelve inches wide with standard 6 inch border.

 All plants and small shrubbery to be planted only inside of the 6-inch border of cement, also any permanent urns for flowers shall have a 6-inch border of cement.

 All flowers and containers put on graves for Decoration Day, to be removed in a reasonable time after Decoration Day by the owner.

These By-Laws when passed and accepted shall be printed in book-let form and be available from the Board of Directors.
